Sycamore Platter – Large serving platter wheel thrown in brown stoneware clay. Sycamore leaf is pressed in clay while the clay is moist so that the clay retains the imprints of the leafs veins. Area is then carved around the leaf so that the leaf appears raised. Finished is finished with two different glazes to accent the leaf design. Medium fired stoneware with food safe glaze suitable for dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Dimensions may vary slightly. Each handmade piece is unique and finished with my initials and the year made on the bottom.
